China's army withdrawal from India was peaceful

China’s army withdrawal from India was peaceful: China said on Friday that the frontline army withdrawal process has started from the Patrol Point-15 (Gogra-Hotsprings) region in eastern Ladakh, adding that the force pullout will promote peace and tranquility along the Sino-Indian border.

Chinese defense ministry release linked departure to 16th round of military talks between India and China Corp Commanders. Which took place in July at the Chushul-Moldo border crossing on the Indian side.

“The Chinese and Indian troops in the area of Jianan Daban have begun to disengage in a coordinated and planned manner. which is conducive to the peace and tranquility in the border areas,” said the Chinese defense ministry statement, released both in Chinese and English on Friday morning. “According to the consensus in the 16th round of the China-India Corps Commander Level Meeting.”

The “Jianan Daban” region mentioned in the Chinese statement is the same as PP-15 or Gogra-Hotsprings. Both said in the Thursday night-released Indian official information on disengagement.

According to a joint statement issued after the 16th round of military talks in July, held after a four-month gap. The two sides “reaffirmed that the resolution of remaining issues would help restore peace and tranquility along the LAC in the Western Sector and enable progress in bilateral relations.”

The statement said the Western Sector’s security and stability would maintain.

China stated in March that PLA soldiers had withdrawn from Hot Spring for the first time. A claim that the Indian side had disputed.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said that army disengagement has occurred in Galway Valley, Pangong Lake. And Hot Spring and that China and India are collaborating closely to find a workable solution to the impasse in eastern Ladakh “as soon as feasible.”

People with knowledge of the situation at the time in New Delhi had said. Without going into specifics, that not all points of dispute at Hot Spring had resolved.

However, they claimed that on August 4-5, 2021. Frontline soldiers withdrawn from Gogra or patrolling point 17A as part of the last disengagement phase.

China has only formally confirmed the force withdrawals from the Galwan Valley and the Pangong Lake region up to the March declaration.

When India announced the withdrawal of its forces from Gogra in August 2021. The Chinese government and the PLA kept mute.

New Delhi has told Beijing that total disengagement and de-escalation at all LAC flashpoints are needed to reestablish bilateral ties.

China has suggested that the border dispute should not define the two nations’ whole bilateral relationship and that they could instead advance on topics like commerce. The Indian administration has opposed this approach to bilateral policy.
