India reported 3,116 new Covid-19 cases 47 deaths in the last 24 hours. 

According to the Ministry of Health data on Sunday, India registered 3,116 new Covid-19 cases and 47 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 5,15,850. (March 13, 2022). The total number of current cases is 38,069.

Over 24 hours, the active Covid-19 caseload has decreased by 2,490 cases. Today, 5,559 recoveries were made in the country, bringing the overall number to 4,24,37,072.

According to the government, the active cases make about 0.09 percent of the total caseload. In comparison, the national Covid-19 recovery rate has improved to 98.71 percent.

Furthermore, the total number of doses provided in the country as part of the statewide Covid-19 vaccination effort has surpassed 180.13 crores. In the previous 24 hours, 7,61,737 tests were performed to detect the existence of the virus.

Meanwhile, according to Johns Hopkins University, the global coronavirus caseload has surpassed 455.6 million, with over 6.03 million deaths and over 10.68 billion immunizations.

According to the CSSE, the United States continues to be the worst-affected country, with 79,508,508 cases and 967,158 deaths.

India has the second-highest number of cases (42,987,875 infections and 515,803 fatalities), followed by Brazil (29,313,228 infections and 654,843 deaths).
