Van de Beek is set to join Everton

Ralf Rangnick has informed van de Beek that he is free to leave Old Trafford until the end of

the season due to an absence of games.

Crystal Palace was also interested in the Dutchman, as were inquiries from overseas.

But, Van de Beek has decided to join forces together with Frank Lampard, who is scheduled

to be named Everton’s new manager.

A former Chelsea manager was offered the position on Merseyside following Rafael Benitez

being fired in January.

Van de Beek is aiming for more minutes following only four Premier League starts since

joining United from Ajax for $ 35m in 2020.

He hasn’t played any league appearances this season and has only made eight appearances

as a substitute.

Dutch director Louis van Gaal has said that he requires regular game time to be considered

for the team that will play at the World Cup, which begins in November.

Van de Beek will strengthen the midfield of Everton’s injured squad. Tom Davies, Abdoulaye

Doucoure and Fabian Delph all sidelined until March.

The Toffees will also hope that the loan deal will help the team’s Premier League campaign.

Everton is currently in 16th, only four points higher than the relegation zone.
