10 million Americans Searching for figure skating in Olympic 2022.

The poor performance of 15-year old Russian figure-skating star Kamila Valieva on the long-form routine on Thursday night attracted an audience of 10.3 million viewers to the NBCUniversal’s Olympic digital and television broadcasts, according to figures from the network.

NBC said it’s US primetime replay of the skating event attracted 1.4 million viewers more than the previous evening’s Olympics broadcast.

Valieva, the gold-medal favorite who was in the spotlight after being tested positive for a heart medication, could not complete her initial four jumps and broke down in tears after the end of her routine.

The broadcast followed Comcast’s owned broadcast’s Super Bowl telecast, which measured firm Nielsen claimed had a record-breaking 99 million viewers watching L1N2UQ1PN.

According to NBC, the coverage by NBC during the Olympics opening ceremony was averaging around 14 million TV viewers.
