Aston Villa set its sights on Yves Bissouma after Philippe Coutinho hit

Aston Villa has set its sights on Yves Bissouma, according to sky sports.

The Villans have already scored a hit in the January transfer window by landing Philippe Coutinho on loan.

However, it seems that Villa has more on his mind when it comes to high-profile signings.

And Bissouma would certainly be another blow for the Villa Park team.

Bissouma, now in the final 18 months of his contract with Brighton, is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old was previously linked to players such as Arsenal and Liverpool.

He joined the South Coast team in the summer of 2018 from Lille for £ 15.2 million.

Bissouma has made 111 competitive appearances to date for the Seagulls.

Last September, Arsenal legend Ray Parlor urged his former club to sign for the Malian international.

“I would love to see (Bissouma) at Arsenal, I said that in the transfer window,” Parlor told talkSPORT (9/23/21, 8:40 am)

“I think it has it all. He is efficient, he can put his foot on the ball, he can also put his foot, he can pass.

“He is the one who is going to keep everything going.

“I’m sure Brighton had to sell one of their players and in the end, it was Ben White for £ 50 million.

“But I think he is going to be a big star.”

The athletic reported in April last year that Brighton would not accept offers of less than £ 40 million for Bissouma.
