Ralf Rangnick: Paul Pogba Is Unlikely To Play For Manchester United Again

Ralf Rangnick, the interim manager of Manchester United, thinks that Paul Pogba has played his last game for the club because he got hurt just a few weeks before his contract at Old Trafford runs out.

In Tuesday’s 4-0 defeat at Liverpool, the World Cup winner, who is free to leave on July 1, came off with a problem in his calf. Paul won’t be able to play until the end of the season because of the scan he had the day before. A top-four finish in the Premier League isn’t very likely.

At Manchester United, the midfielder came through the club’s youth system. In 2016, he signed for Juventus for a record fee, then a world record.

Even though Pogba has won the Europa League and League Cup in his second spell at Manchester United, he has been a disappointment. Fans have been irritated by his lackluster performances and his repeated links with other teams, making them less happy.

A group of people booed the 29-year-old off the field when he was taken off during the recent win against Norwich.

Asked if Pogba had played his last game for United, Rangnick said: Yes, “At least four weeks must pass before the player can play again. The last game is in May.

“I don’t think he’ll be able to play again.”

When Rangnick said this, it was the day after United said that Ajax manager Erik ten Hag would be the permanent manager of Manchester United at the end of the season.

he said: “I knew the board talked to Erik.” “From what I’ve seen and heard from people who worked with Erik, I think he would be a good choice.

He’s still my favorite choice.

Manchester United’s next game is on Saturday when they play top-four rivals Arsenal. Captain Harry Maguire is set to play in defense.

He called the police on Thursday to report a bomb threat. Officers went through the home he shared with his fiance and two young children.

I haven’t seen him because I learned about this terrible, awful thing only yesterday afternoon. “Since then, I can’t talk to him.

“Another ominous sign of the crazy world we live in:

“Of course, I’m very sorry for Harry that he had that terrible experience, but he knows that we’re all there for him: the club, everyone else, the players, and his teammates.”
