Salah Signs Long-Term Contract Extension With Liverpool: Mohamed Salah signed a new contract on Friday, ending rumours about his future at Liverpool. The new deal is expected to last until 2025. Salah, 30, had reached the last year of his previous deal when negotiations stalled over the 30-year-pay old’s demands.
Salah has 156 goals in 254 games for Liverpool. The Egypt attacker said that after finally signing the contract, he has his eyes set on winning more championships at Anfield.

Salah has contributed significantly to Jurgen Klopp’s team since arriving from Roma in 2017, making them perennial challengers for domestic and European glory.
He scored against Tottenham in the 2019 Champions League final, and in 2020, the club’s first Premier League title in 30 years, he led the team in scoring.
Salah won the title of Premier League player of the year in the previous campaign after scoring 31 goals to push Jurgen Klopp’s team to the verge of an unprecedented quadruple.
Liverpool won the League Cup and FA Cup, but Manchester City won the Premier League championship by one point, and they fell to Real Madrid 1-0 in the Champions League final.
Salah said, “I believe you can see the team was constantly progressing (upwards) in the past five or six years.
“We came very close to winning four last season, but regrettably, we lost two trophies in the last week.
“I believe that we are well-positioned to compete for everything. New signings have also been made.
“All we have to do is work hard, have a clear goal, be optimistic, and try everything again.”
Liverpool’s prospects of success under Klopp, who also extended his contract in April to keep him in charge until 2026, are significantly increased by Salah’s retention.
When Sadio Mane left Liverpool for Bayern Munich this summer after six years at Anfield, Liverpool had already lost one important player.
